If they block access to the originals, and also release the remaster in a miserable state, like what happened with 3R, they can keep it

When will the AI slop end?
Most of common information is usually wrong. When programmers gaslight themselves into using it, the code is almost always wrong. Artists are all pissed, because both Nvidia and "Open"AI trained their data on hundreds of terabytes of stolen data too.
The only ones still satisfied with this, are the top 0.01% billionaires, who continue selling these products to companies, who in turn buy this only because of peer pressure
Just imagine if that money went towards improvements in society, instead of a pump and dump scheme for the top 0.01%
Both of them have their own issues, but historically, Nvidia have been considerably worse, because they not only required a proprietary driver, but also adamantly refused to support certain features, crippling the functionality of a lot of compositors.
Today, I’m having zero issues with an Nvidia card, on Kwin/Wayland. Everything that runs in native Wayland runs flawlessly. Games through Xwayland run great too, now that explicit sync is actually there.
Worth noting that I don’t have a VRR display, and don’t have a card that supports frame generation. The latter just is not implemented at all, and the I’ve heard there are issues with the former
This is one of the things, that’s not only a colossal amount of effort to maintain, but also a colossal waste of money. Backporting security is expensive. Backporting features to an old is is even more costly. With the W7 platform shrinking into obscurity, it just doesn’t make sense
