I think it does still mean that, but, not in a good way.
The 90s celebrated Steez (which I personally never heard of back then) then it’s definition today is essentially “The 90s called and they want their style back.”
Definitely explains why he had to borrow some of my clothes for it. 🤦🏻♂️
Yesterday I learned the word Steez from my son in high school.
Still not completely sure what it means, but I believe it’s something between a dork and a douche.
Sure have! Their Metallica album was what turned me on to bluegrass covers in the first place!
I can get down with some bluegrass.
Especially bluegrass covers of classic rock and metal songs.
We sit on the porch and pass it out.
This year we offered candy or pickle. We went through a gallon jar of pickles!
Then it was all worth it.
The first thing that came to my mind was car repair.
This one wasn’t one purpose. I went to a shop for an oil change and 10,000 point inspection or whatever they called it. I knew one of my headlight bulbs went out a week before, but when I got the inspection report, it said everything was fine. I went to the shop manager and asked him to confirm that the mechanic had checked everything on the report. I didn’t blame him for the oversight, but he was kind of a dick when I pointed it out and had him do everything again until they found the problem.
Also, my dad always wrote the date on his air filters when he put them in because mechanics would often keep a dirty one laying around just to show it to customers and tell them that it was their filter and it needed replaced. He always got a kick out of calling them out on that kind of bullshit.
I have a mini Jambox (gift) and a JBL Flip.
The Jamboxes (regular and mini) are pretty expensive, and I don’t think I would spend the money, but they are probably THE best I’ve ever heard.
The JBL Flip is a better value, cranks out solid sound, and often gets discounted on sites like Amazon.
Oh, and I’ve had a ton of janky cheapo speakers. They are NEVER worth the couple of bucks they cost.
