I mean, if you think about it, needing dongles for connecting Ethernet to USB-C is exactly what would happen, if you had two different Ethernet plugs. This is how I feel about ultra-slim laptops that only have USB-C ports. I don’t care if it needs to be 10% thicker, I want a usable port damn it!
Funnily enough, there was a post arguing about this not so long ago.
I know adapters exist, but for something like HDMI that I use quite regularly, I’ll have a dedicated port thanks.
